Okura Robata Grill and Sushi Bar serves up a fusion of Japanese and California cuisine in a chic contemporary restaurant space that has an L.A./Hollywood vibe. Custom décor includes gold Kriskadecor chains hanging from the ceiling, a 4-foot high bronze Buddha and a life-size, petrified Japanese cherry blossom tree at the center of the restaurant. A “Geisha Angel” mural adorns a wall in the bar. Beyond an expansive sushi menu, there is something for everyone including skewers from the Robata Grill, Salads, Toban Yaki Steak, Tempura, Chicken, Beef and Fish Entrees, and of course, delicious desserts like Green tea Panna Cotta.     We were there for Thanksgiving. Eating mid afternoon the restaurant was quiet but could be louder when full. The food was good but the prix fixe price was a bit high for the amount of food delivered. Onion soup was delicious and the lamb was excellent. The only problem was that it was served in what appeared to be an oversized bowl which meant cutting the meat was difficult. Tip was added automatically and our server let us know that when she delivered the bill. So many places don't tell you and you end up tipping again. Despite the automatic tip, the wait staff did not slack off; they provided wonderful service.

    Perfect in every way! So beautiful in every way and so unique for a desert resort. With the olive trees and the fire pits and the very cool music AND the outstanding dishes…there’s no reason to spend your time and money anywhere else! Come and enjoy….

    Most amazing meal and service in a beautiful setting. Our server went out of her way to accommodate our adult granddaughter who has several allergies. Lobster tail was best ever. Duck was amazing as was the flatiron steak. Six extremely satisfied customers. We can’t wait to go back

    WOW what a terrific dinner! We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary and chose the Cliffhouse. Denise our server was warm and gracious, and our dinner was exceptional. I had the filet mignon, which was tasty and cooked to perfection, and my husband had the Wagu strip steak, and it was amazing. He also had the Ceaser salad and said it was the best one he has had and he orders them wherever we go. Praise to the new Executive Chef who has elevated the food to new heights!
