The Folk’s Folly story began in 1977 with unconventional origins, as the best stories often do.Native son Humphrey Folk, Jr. was a prominent and shrewd developer, whose hard work carried him all over the country, cultivating his sincere appreciation of food and fine wine.Undaunted by a complete lack of restaurant or culinary experience, he decided to convert a quaint and intimate house into a small eatery.     It is our favorite restaurant in Memphis. It is consistently good. On the weekends their is a live performer who is excellent. Never thought it could get better, but it has. They changed their menu. We tried 2 of their items and they are both delicious! Still our favorite restaurant!!

    Could not have had a better experience to celebrate my mother’s 75th birthday! We were seated immediately, taken care of exquisitely by our server, and the food was amazing! The server even decorated my mother’s dessert with the 7 and 5 backwards to make it look like she’s only 57, which we had been joking about. As we left, the server even chased us down in the parking lot because my mother had left one of her gifts on the table. Highly recommend for any special occasion!!

    Chef Wilson was able to accommodate my gluten free diet, and my friend's diet, both gluten and dairy. He made an excellent gluten free shrimp carbonera for me and also a delicious impromptu chocolate parfait dessert for my friend. Also, the live musical performance of Pam and Terry was enormously entertaining. They are true entertainers. We had a great meal and a great evening!

    Great experience. Very cozy vibe, reasonable price, excellent service, and even better food. Everyone from the owner to the servers made us feel very welcomed and took their time explain the menu. I’ll definitely be returning. 10/10.
