This is where it all started – on the banks of the Rappahannock River overlooking where we grow our oysters. We like to call Merroir a “tasting room,” just so people know to expect something different.     The crab quiche was absolutely divine! The blueberry mojito was also very yummy. I’m sorry I didn’t get our servers name but very sweet and professional.

    We tried two of the lunch specials - Chicken BLT and the Chicken BLT Flatbread as well as the Mushroom Soup. Everything was delicious. Service was quick although the restaurant was quite busy for a Monday lunch! We will definitely be back again.

    This place is great. Has an amazing view and the seating is very good as you have a bar area separate from the dining area and some very nice outdoor seating. Food is always great if it’s seafood or a burger. The biscuits are almost a desert and the crab cakes are my favorite on the shore.

    With the exception of the gentleman at the checkin desk, everything about the restaurant was professional and first class. Our waitress was adorable, knowledgeable, and helpful. The food was delicious: short ribs, halibut, truffle risotto, pumpkin creme brulee, drinks, etc. The atmosphere was really nice with tables NOT crowded, easy to have a conversation, and lovely decor.
