Quiessence is a fine dining, true farm to table restaurant located at The Farm at South Mountain, a 10 acre oasis by South Mountain. We have a 2 acre organic garden onsite that we utilize as much as possible for our dishes. Our menu changes regularly based on local and seasonal availability. We offer tasting menus with the option of doing 3, 4 or 5 courses. The restaurant itself is housed in the original farmhouse of the property giving the restaurant plenty of rustic charm. Patio dining is also highly sought after when the weather is nice.

Arizona's Original Steakhouse. Step through the copper entry doors and feel the warm authentic atmosphere of this classic American Steakhouse. Once adjacent to the largest feedlot in the world, the restaurant is a living history museum that documents Arizona's cattle industry with historical photos and a Western Art collection. Established in 1947, The Stockyards has been serving the best hand-cut aged steaks and prime rib for 70 years. The menu also features wild game, seafood, poultry, pork, and a wide variety of appetizers, salads and desserts. Be sure to visit the 1889 Saloon where you will find a solid mahogany hand carved bar, crystal chandeliers, and walls adorned with original murals that were painted in the 50's.     It was a special celebration for a family Thanksgiving Dinner while our house is under construction. Most of the food was good to very good...especially meats & seafood. Sides were OK, but some a little bland. Desserts we ok as well. Excellent selection & service. Fun day.

    We had the best meal tonight! Ribeye cap was insanely good. My daughter wanted to sub the chips for the pretzel fondue and they did without hesitation. Always the best food and service!!!

    This is my favorite restaurant in downtown Phoenix. I have been coming since I covered it as a reporter years ago when it opened. I enjoyed my favorite dish—fish and chips—while looking out at the Phoenix Suns crowd I would be joining afterwards right across the street!

    The best meal we have ever had in Arizona, perhaps anywhere EVER! We started with the Large Seafood Tower, We also had Filet Mignon with Chimichurri Sauce and side of mushrooms, the Filet was the best! Prepared perfectly, 2 in our party asked for medium rare and we shared a medium and WOW. On point. Twice stuffed Lobster Baked Potato was such a rich delicious add on. The service was the best I have ever experienced. We loved the beautiful ambiance and the quiet atmosphere to converse with friends. Im without words....11 out of 10!!

    We enjoyed lunch at Palma on a Thu afternoon. Our meal started with the guac and chips and the Beef Birria Rangoons. After we had the shrimp tacos and Tsunami Maki, both looked great and tasted even better. The Vibe Check is a bourbon based drink that was light for a midday cocktail. Service was great and both agreed we would be returning in the future. Would like to check it out in the evening when it is fully lit up.
