Bernardo was our server and he was excellent as was the food.  highly recommend.

This was delicious! Had a bar cart which was neat. We got the fire pasta. It is rich but very good. Chicken Parmesan was very good too! Caprese and meatballs for appetizers were a hit for all. The bread tastes homemade. Harp player in the background. Would highly recommend a reservation here!

We enjoyed our evening. ERICK our waiter was very informative about the GLUTEN FREE items. They made food for us using the gluten-free soy sauce, so it opened the menu for us to eat more than what was on the original menu. Ask they can possibly make adjustments 😊😍

We dined at the Nektar last year and really enjoyed ourselves. This year was just as special. The food is a bit different from much of the food offered by Vidanta resort. The semi open air restaurant in the jungle gives a fun vibe as did the free music on offer . The staff was very attentive and friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The also cocktails were interesting. We had been earlier in the week for drinks and appetizers as we heard another great musical group at the Nektar Bar. Well worth the cart ride to the Nektar sometime during your stay.

So we had dinner reservations our first night at the resort, the tables are right on the sand. There were storms in the area so the staff had us wait to be seated as they were not sure if it would rain. After 10 minutes they gave us the go ahead to sit at our table. The food was excellent, we ordered the grilled clams for out appetizer, trying to remember our main dishes, I will come back to that, now I remember, I had the lobster fettuccini and my wife had the paella. Both delicious. So we are eating and the rain starts, the staff was excellent in getting everyone up to the Vegan Bar and out of the rain. They brought our food and managed to keep it warm. It rained for a while so we stayed on the Vegan bar patio and listened and watched the storm. Overall it was a great evening and I would highly recommend Sotavento.
