Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. Finding harmony between authenticity and originality is something that first ignited the flame at Mesa Verde back in 2013 and continues to feed it today. While it’s fairly evident that an affinity for Mexican food and agave spirits is at the helm of what we do, our city’s rank on the culinary frontier has brought with it a particular nose for experimentation.     Great little find near The Princess Theatre which we had an early dinner before seeing Tina - great value $49pp menu - food was delicious and plenty of it! Staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend to try this restaurant!

    This place is the BOMB! Probably the best Chinese cuisine I've ever had. The prawn spring rolls were to DIE FOR and the peas in the beef stir fry were just as good as the meat. Absolutely nothing left behind on the plate. The staff were efficient, friendly and happy to stop for a chat. Noise level wasn't too bad at all even after it filled up. Very happy to recommend!

    We went for the Feed Me menu after seeing a show at The Princess Theatre. Being vegan our options were limited but every plate was super delicious! The staff were engaging, friendly and helpful. Although we had a small table almost in a corner it didn't feel cramped and we hardly noticed the diners around us. Great value. Great location. Amazing food. Highly recommend

    If you're even in Melbourne for a holiday or a local, you're life won't feel as fulfilling until you've experienced Meatmaiden, I can't make this up! The food was impeccable, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere is second to none. If I could afford it, I would go every night.
