The South End restaurant offers rare and unique dining options along with traditional sashimi and specialty rolls, highlighting seafood from the finest fish markets in Tokyo and Hawaii alongside local and seasonal ingredients. Located at Atherton Mill in Charlotte's historic South End neighborhood, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can seat approximately 85 guests inside for a casual night of food and drinks. The wine list is focused on affordable Italian varietals, the Gin & Tonic cocktail is on tap, and the fresh sodas are made in-house. Large windows fill the restaurant with natural light that reflects off the white subway tile, wood accents and butcher block tables. An open kitchen invites guests to keep an eye on the action while enjoying the sights and smells of Italian cooking. During warmer months, a 44-seat patio invites guests to dine al fresco.

    The food was good, well seasoned. Sizable portions. The sides were good ( Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy), collards, broccolini, corn bread. The fried chicken & braised short ribs reminded me of my mother’s home cooking. Thanksgiving meal did not disappoint. Asia M our server and everyone made you feel welcome.

    O-Ku continues to go above and beyond! This restaurant amazes me with their customer service. I had shared that my family was celebrating my brother’s accomplishment in the Navy when I booked the reservation a month ago. When we were seated, there was a gift at the table. They ordered my brother a special gift to join in our celebration. Two managers also stopped by the table to check in. Our waitress was super attentive. The food was incredible. My favorite place in all of Charlotte to go! Can’t wait to go back.

    We scored a fantastic outdoor seat from which to enjoy the Thanksgiving Eve Parade! Mussels, fromage, French onion soup, and a delicious beujolais made for a fun time!

    Absolutely loved it here! The food is delicious especially the steak and frites or fish and chips ohhh and I can’t forget the pizza my goodness phenomenal! Will now be a staple restaurant to go to uptown. Our server Jensen was super lovely too.
