Piatto is a gathering place centred around a passion for fine food, fabulous wines, friends and family. Check out the little gems we've come across—diverse wines from across the globe, authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, coffee and fabulous desserts—all in a casual atmosphere and with reasonable prices. In our world, authenticity is big. Our pizzaiolo use ingredients and procedures regulated by the Italian governing association (VPN)—so you experience a "true" pizza like you would find in the energetic pizzerias in Naples, Italy (but without the airfare). We are happy to now be taking a limited amount of reservations online as well as always keeping a portion of the restaurant open for walk-ins. For larger tables or reserving our private room please contact us and we will be happy to work with you to create the perfect event!

We’re a small and energetic restaurant on the corner of Adelaide and Water St. in the heart of downtown St. John’s. We carry a wide selection of East Coast Oysters and our menu focuses on seafood + fun, vibrant small plates. We have a rotating selection of local craft beer and wines and an ever evolving cocktail list. Some call us loud, but we prefer lively! We take 5pm reservations for seating's of 2-4 people, and two larger groups of 5+ Sunday through Saturday. Our mission? Great people helping other great people totally have a blast while enjoying amazing food. Wow, that was a mouthful. But can you blame us? We’re a restaurant. One that specializes in delicious food and great times. Our goal is to make you laugh. And depending on your hot sauce tolerance, cry.In all seriousness, we take real pride in our food. Try our Cluckin’ Fresh Chicken Fingers, made and seasoned with fresh, never frozen chicken tenders. This isn’t run-of-the-mill pub grub. Our Band of Chefs are influenced by a wide variety of tastes and have travelled across the globe to gain inspiration. But outside of the kitchen, we find it hard to take ourselves seriously. We have an Elvis booth. For no particular reason. Folks, that really does say it all. We’re sports fanatics, music nuts and love a good joke. If you’re into at least one of those things, we should hang out.

    The food, the ambience and most importantly the service was amazing! The staff is friendly and very respectful when it comes to our preferences. I will definitely go back to enjoy more of their delicious food. The rolls are must try, they are mouth watering. Very happy that I chose LIV for our 14th anniversary.

    Had a lovely evening. Food & service were great. Only issue is with limitation on using gift cards purchased at Costco. Would have liked to use whatever gift cards we had but we’re limited to 1 per guest. We haven’t experienced that elsewhere with gift cards.

    Always an excellent experience & never disappointed. We have been eating here for years. Staff are always very friendly & accommodating (we asked if there was potential for a change of table as my husband was on crutches & if we could be seated near a wall, they were very accommodating. Thank you so much!). Food is always fantastic. Highly recommend every time!

    Always go there when we come to St. John’s .. filet steak was always delicious but we were dis-appointed this time .. steak was fatty thru & thru and bacon -wrapped scallops they were not hot .. Luke warm and even the sku they were on was cold .. I didn’t say anything cause it was already going to 9:15 when we got our meals I would appreciate a gift card off a demonation and I will try your restaurant again .. don’t want to leave with a bad taste in my mouth .. but ya .. wads bit if a let down forsure
