Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible. On Sunday afternoons Hawksmoor keeps with the tried-and-true British tradition and features a Sunday Roast. Completing our offerings are award-winning cocktails, including New York City's coldest martini, and a carefully curated wine selection.     My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Hawksmoor last night. The ambience, service and the food were exceptional. For appetizers we had the scallops ( best dish of the night ) and the potted beef. For our main we went with the porterhouse for two and the beef fat fries. Steak was cooked perfectly and the fries were amazing. For dessert we had the pavlova and a anniversary surprise.

    What a night in Paris, the ambiance was amazing moderate but yet very appropriate for the evening. Started the evening with a quick drink at the bar while we waited for our table. Then got seated to our table, started with SOUPE À L’OIGNON which was amazing very flavorful and the perfect amount of Gruyère cheese. For our entree my wife ordered the SAUMON RÔTI and I ordered the FAUX-FILET BERCY medium rare. The meal was amazing and we will definitely be coming back! Had to end the night with a CRÈME BRÛLÉE and BASQUE CHEESECAKE w/ mixed berry coulis. (Also took the PROFITEROLES to go).

    The food was EXCELLENT, the waitress was absolutely sweet, caring, and there but not overbearing, the atmosphere was NIIIIIIICE, and it didn’t feel like a stuffy douschy Manhattan crowd. I’m definitely taking the hubby there again… and maybe soon haha

    They do everything well at Oceans. The seafood tower was a great way to start. The Dover Sole is one of the best dishes in town. And the Lobster Mac and Cheese was also great. Very gracious hosts, servers, and somm.
