Serving inventive Japanese cuisine using the freshest seafood from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji market and local New England fishermen, and borrowing influence from the streets of Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Bangkok and Bangladesh, Uni is the evolution of Ken Oringer’s intimate sashimi bar of the same name, which expanded into the former Clio space in 2016. UNI is currently helmed by Executive Chef David Bazirgan.

Owner Brian Piccini is proud of his award-winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting.     Absolutely a fantastic experience from walking in to exit. Above and beyond expectations! "SEVERE Gluten sensitivity" every dish was amazing and the flavor was on point, absolutely the best full meal I've had at a restaurant yet. Highly recommend! Worth the price to know you have a truly gluten free meal that puts you in heaven! Give it a shot you won't be disappointed.

    Everything was great as always, the food was perfect and the server was awesome. The wine recommendation was great, he even recommended one that was less expensive than we thought we’d be paying but it was amazing. The restaurant also gave us a desert on the house. I always recommend Deuxave to everyone I talk to and last night really just proves my recommendation right!

    It’s it’s really hard to find an authentic restaurant irrespective of the cuisine and culture. This restaurant knocked it out of the park. I’ve dined all over the world and I can honestly say this is one of the best meals that I’ve had in the last 10 years. In addition to that, I didn’t have to remortgage the house to enjoy the food. This is my must stop place when I go to Boston from now on.
