Savor flavorful made-to-order Italian dishes at Diritto. Launched in 2004, this cozy ristorante offers prix fixe lunch and dinner courses built around creative Italian recipes. It fits the bill if youre in the mood for some delicious pasta (try the ravioli) and a sweet dessert. Diritto also offers a tidy selection of wine to pair with its meals. Dirittos charming space is perfect for a romantic date. The dining room features linen-covered tables, cozy seats and gentle lighting. The restaurants space can also be reserved for private events (seats 10 guests). Diritto is open every day except on holidays.

Kushiage [deep-fried skewers] restaurant Hantei preserves the structure of its ancestors. There was a decision around the beginning of the century to widen a road which involved removing the frontage of the original building. The new structure is a blend of past and present: a large metal fence covers the scars from the construction and through the gaps in that fence the shape of the old building can still be seen. Three-story structures built from Japanese zelkova wood are rare and difficult to find in Japan - built during the Meiji era, it even withstood the Great Kanto Earthquake. The building was also designated as part of the tangible Cultural Properties by Japan's Agency of Cultural Affairs. The second and third floor offer a gorgeous view of the beautifully aligned roof tiles that give it a pleasant downtown charm.

La Tourelle offers French cuisine in an atmosphere of a French shop. Stop by with a friend for lunch or bring a partner for an intimate dinner. Enjoy a plate of Brioche Burata cheese tomatoes that have been soaked in sardine and tomato soup or order the Japanese Wagyu sirloin that is accented with oysters and green laishes. La Tourelle offers many wines that are tailored to complement the entr_e. The extensive list offers white, red and rose wines that can be ordered by the glass or by the bottle.     This was the first dinner we had on arrival in Tokyo, on a first visit to the city. We selected it given its proximity to our Airbnb and the excellent reviews to be found online. Diritto was superb in every way. As a global "foodie" from Manhattan, I'd rate this a 5-star dining experience. Intimate and civilized small room, the warmest welcome imaginable, a master chef cooking in an open open kitchen, preparing a masterful 4 course Italian dinner seen through his personal lens using the finest local ingredients. An extraordinary meal in every way. Thank you for such an amazing welcome to Japan!
