Best Quality Daughter houses a vibrant, chic décor and new, unique Asian-American menu. In 2018, chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, wanting to address the sparsity of Asian-American female chefs in South Texas, developed a new concept through a series of pop-up dinners called Best Quality Daughter with fellow chef Anne Ng and artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk. Today Best Quality Daughter is located in the historic Mueller House at the Pearl Brewery. We celebrated our first anniversary here. The service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. The ambiance transported us to France, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the wine list was extensive and well-curated. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

A really lovely dining experience! Our waitress was so kind - great service and helpful information. She answered questions, showing us where to see the Alamo, Riverwalk, etc., and took photos of us. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed the views!

Mediterranean food is not my go to but Ladino was excellent! The butternut squash dip and the feta dip was outstanding. The grilled cabbage and kale salad was unique and delicious. The chicken and shrimp were very good (shrimp served with heads). The lamb ribs were a little fatty and salty but I am not a lamb expert. The chocolate dessert and the date cake were interesting and delicious! The overall winner to me was the feta dip! YUM!
