Alberts Cafe has a team of passionate baristas and proudly serves Allpress Espresso coffee. We have a small kitchen where we prepare salads, sandwiches and toasties during the day along with fresh pastries, sweet treats and much more. On Friday and Saturday evenings our resident chef prepares a delicious tapas menu. We love to use local produce for all of our menus and support other local businesses. Alberts seamlessly transitions from day to night, with our mixologist and bartenders coming in from 4pm on Thursday to Sunday to make delicious cocktails including our signature Allpress colada.

Welcome to The Boat Inn.The Boat Inn Penkridge was built at the same time as the Staffs and Worcs Canal in 1779 and is one of the old ‘Gateways’ to the Village, for many years it was the first or last stopping point, as locals and visitors travelled along the Cannock Road.     Lovely little place, lovely staff and the log fire was burning bright. Decorations looked beautiful. Food was lovely accept the chips were under cooked slightly and I had a hair stuck to my chips but they gave me some fresh ones. Overall lovely experience but they didn’t offer any discount or offer anything apart from fresh chips which I found a little dissatisfying but I’m sure this was a one off things happen.

    This was a surprising joy, I expected a standard boring pub lunch but this was an interesting offering of tasty dishes that arrived in a timely manner with helpful and considerate service. Mid week lunch meeting up with old friends was peaceful and unhurried. Altogether a lovely lunch

    Albert Cafe is such a lovely place, especially the outdoor seating beside the river. I booked a table for my family to celebrate a wedding and the staff were absolutely lovely. They were accommodating and all so kind. We had the lovely surprise of having a bite to eat (which was delicious!) there whilst the Pride Festival was on and we were treated to listening to the music playing there all afternoon. It was such a lovely environment and I'd recommend it to everyone, we'll definitely be going again :)

    Chilled atmosphere, typical pub grub burgers, pub meals etc and serves cheap booze and a fairly large cocktail menu. Friendly staff and quick service :)
