A modern take on the original Village restaurant (established in 1947), our reputation is for serving Baton Rouge’s finest Italian, Prime Beef, Maine Lobster, Veal and fresh Gulf seafood.     We love The Little Village and eat there a few times a year, and every Christmas Eve. The meal this week was excellent! One of the best we’ve had there since COVID.

    Honestly, the service could not have been better. We had three people taking care of us and they were spectacular. I couldn’t remember the name is the wine I ordered but the drink waiter remembered immediately without even looking. They were great. The only complaint I have was the Fish Katie. My girlfriend ordered it and said it didn’t taste right so I tried it. The only way I can describe it is that it tasted “dirty”. Maybe the fish wasn’t fresh, or was just a bad piece, I don’t know, but it tasted awful. She was already full by that point of the dinner so she didn’t want to say anything, but I figured I would mention it now. Other than that, the dinner was perfect and we will certainly be back!

    The food was outstanding. The staff very friendly they had to accommodate two more people that I made the reservation for and it was no problem. I was very impressed.
