A recommendation from the Michelin Guide App. A quiet lunch date with my wife, we had the set menu which was a selection from the main menu, The tempura prawns, haddock and Crumble were fantastic, Truffle triple cooked chips were not overpowering as is the case with many truffle options elsewhere. The whipped Stilton and sourdough was devine followed by the gammon, topped with the perfect egg. All of the staff we encountered were welcoming, caring which was a breath of fresh air , as nothing was too much trouble. A great first visit.

Our first experience at Redcoats and a very good one at that. We shall certainly be back. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly, helpful and efficient without being intrusive. We used Redcoats to meet friends on a half way basis. Everyone agreed it was an excellent choice and ticked all our boxes. We all commented on a lovely relaxing lunch and afternoon. Friendly staff, delicious food. A little expensive but you won’t leave hungry. The portions are huge!! In my opinion it would be great if they offered smaller portion sizes for the smaller appetites but otherwise can’t complain. The burnt ends are amazing! 🤩
