A neighborhood gem! This family-run Italian restaurant offers a chic, rustic atmosphere in a downtown Austin landmark historic 1876 building. Enjoy outdoor sidewalk cafe dining just steps from the Texas State Capitol (dog friendly).We feature a wide variety of authentic Italian pastas, pizza, meats, seafood & unique daily specials. (GF and Veg options). Daily specials highlight the freshest and most seasonal offerings, such as Rigatoni Alla Norcina (sausage with truffle oil), house-made Gnocchi Sorrentina, and Whole Roasted Fish. Gelato, sorbets and desserts are delicious and made in-house. The cozy full-bar offers classic Italian cocktails and a sizable wine list representing Italy’s diverse regions.All breads and pizza are made daily using naturally leavened dough and an ancient fermentation process; this improves digestibility and creates a delicious flavor.     We were visiting Austin from out of town for a wedding over the weekend. This was my second time at Perry’s location and brought my friends. The meals were amazing. Our waiter Kyle was also excellent and very entertaining! I highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone who’s visiting Texas as they have multiple locations in and around Dallas and Austin.

    Wow! So I’ve been to the BOA in West Hollywood, and I was super excited to know one was opening in Austin! 10/10 experience! Easily one of my favs in Austin, already!

    Saludos! Our food was delicious, ambiance was wonderful and the suggestions Giovanni gave us on drinks, pairings etc. were the cherry on top! I recommend the Brussel sprouts- so crispy and crunchy! I had the filet mignon in black mole as I’m an omnivore. My spouse is a vegetarian. The only downside to our meal which is not unique to Mexta, is serving cauliflower as the vegetarian entree. The industry has been holding on tightly to this choice and has become the default veg-choice. I didn’t have room for dessert but their 3-cheese cheesecake caught my eye. I hope I can stop by at my next visit to Austin. :)
