Essence is a casual restaurant that serves French cuisine using seasonal ingredients. Chef Shiro Naito opened the restaurant in 2010 to provide dishes that celebrate the essence of each season. Essence is conveniently located next to Inokashira Park and Ghibli Museum. Its spacious dining area provides tables for guests and a private room for special occasions. The menu at Essence offers themed seasonal courses. The restaurant uses organic, pesticide-free vegetables from Yoko Farms, has its fish and shellfish delivered directly from Hakodate and uses chemical-free fertilizer from Tokorozawa to grow some of its own ingredients.

    友人のお誕生日のお祝いで利用させて頂きました。スタッフの方も気さくで明るく、お料理のご説明も丁寧にして頂き、アットホームな雰囲気がとても良かったです。 またお料理も前菜からそれなりのボリュームでご提供頂けたのでBコースでお腹いっぱいになりました。別オーダーのキノコのソテーは次回オーダーしたいと思いました。 全て美味しかったですが、特に貝とキノコのマリネ、お魚のポワレの青海苔のソースはとても美味しかったです。デザートのシナモンのタルトもずっと食べていられるおいしさです。 いろんなキノコを色々なお料理で食べれて胃も心も大満足でした。 また行きたいと思います。
