From an intimate dining room with an intriguing menu of savory local dishes to the sun-dappled Conservatory and dining al fresco in The Garden, the dining scene at The Vanderbilt is crackling with alluring eccentricities just waiting to be explored.Important Notes: Reservations are held for 15 minutes beyond the scheduled arrival time, and during peak service hours you may not be seated until your entire party has arrived. Once your party is assembled, we will offer you the next available table for a party of your size.     warm and cozy, wonderful service & never felt rushed!!! The honey biscuits were delicious and the entrees were amazing too! They had some really nice staff. Blue cheese was stuffed by hand in olives makes for a great dirty martini. Did i mention the honey biscuits were delicious!!

    Menu is extensive and varied. Food is exquisite and well prepared. Wait staff is attentive but does not hover. Setting is very elegant. Restaurant is pricey but worth it. Recommend it for a special occasion.

    Great place to eat in Newport. Tuna Tartare tacos were outstanding and NY strip steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Cherrystones were fresh and the scallops we good but a little salty. Have visited the bar on the second floor which is nice and cozy and great for alcohol infused coffees but is hard to catch open. Definitely on my list of favorite Newport restaurants.

    Excellent food, service was great, and the place has a nice feel to it. If you want a nice, casual place for dinner in Newport, this is an excellent choice.

    Delicious food, cod, Shrimp and grits, the best clam chowder (full of clams!) and a slice of coconut cake to die for. Our server was friendly and efficient.
