His culinary journey is rich with stories from his grandmother, an extraordinary cook who instilled his passion for food from a young age, teaching him the art of traditional Sri Lankan and Southern Indian dishes. Even though authentic South Asian fare has been in vogue in New York City for quite some time, it's been hard to find the bold, flavorful fare of Sri Lanka outside of Staten Island. We went to The Palm Court Restaurant for dinner. We came from Miami to celebrate our daughter's sixteenth birthday. Our server Mohamed Jabari made our experience special. He warmly welcomed our daughters, especially the youngest (11 years old) he clearly explained the story of Eloise and presented the girls with pink napkins! He recommended a champagne that was "magnifique". Small details that turned into great memories for our family at The Plaza Hotel. Thanks again Mohammed! We would love to return! I highly recommend it.
