A Family Tradition For Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only.     We had an exceptional dining experience at North Italia! Our group of seven came here to celebrate my grandmother’s 85th birthday while family was visiting from out of town, and it could not have been more perfect. The service from Austin was absolutely wonderful—attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcomed on such a special occasion. The food was beyond amazing. The white truffle garlic bread and meatballs are a must-have for appetizers—absolutely delicious! For the main course, I had the chicken parmesan, which was cooked to perfection, and we finished the night with the tiramisu, a light and tasty dessert that everyone enjoyed. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate. My grandmother had a fantastic time and couldn’t stop raving about the experience. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend North Italia for both the food and the outstanding service!

    The food was great and we found out that on Mondays, kids eat free when the adults buy an entree. It was a great night out for me and my family. One of the better dining options for me and my vacationing family. We will definitely be back!

    I thought this was like a Hard Rock or another touristy expensive restaurant with average food but it’s actually great. Our server Adam provided perfect friendly service and advice. Perfect professional waiter IMO. Food was good. Happy hour beers were delicious. Our Wednesday burgers specials were delicious. The decor is awesome everywhere you look too!
