Our Farm-to-Table Restaurant offers fresh food focused on local sourcing and home-made recipees. Our beef is raised in Holgate, OH and processed locally. The cheese on our boards is made from local, whole milk in Hicksville, OH. We use 100% California olive oil in our oil based dressings - it is not cut with canola/soy/vegetable oils. Our flatbreads come in at less than 30 carbs each. We are known for our cocktails, particularly our Old Fashioneds and our Seasonal Speicialty Drinks. Our building was constructed in 1871, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019 and completely renovated to expose it's historic lines and features in 2021. We are within Defiance's DORA District and directly across from Triangle Park in Defiance's historic downtown. Step back in time, window shop the downtown and then come and dine. We always go with the special feature of the evening if offered. It is always spot on with flavor complexity. I had the Salmon special. It was delishious. Only thing I would change is an offering of a green leafy salad rather than ice berg lettuce.

The seasonal special of butternut squash ravioli with lobster was amazing! We also enjoyed our usual favorites- gnocchi with vodka sauce, sausage flatbread. The winter white wine was delicious, especially when warmed! Always a great evening at Cooper's Hawk!

First time at Farmhouse. Food and service were excellent. The food is on the more expensive side for Hillsdale County, but very good.

Something a little extra in our area. The food is so good. Enjoyed the Monday night special of Crab legs. Our server Mandy J was excellent and professional. We always think, we need to come back more!

We love it that the staff remembers us and our likes and dislikes. The staff are always friendly and the owners come around to talk to the patrons and see how their meals are. The menu changes with the seasons, so there are always different items to choose from.
