We set out to create the kind of establishment we'd love to find in one of the UK's most beautiful cities, one where old-fashioned hospitality is valued, food is delicious and where beautiful surroundings can be found hidden around every corner.From breakfast where we serve our unique Beforenoon Tea - the breakfast edition of afternoon tea - to lunch which includes Assembly House classics and grazing boards, we're open seven days a week. We're most famous for our themed afternoon teas which change regularly and are served from noon until last service at 3.30pm daily. We are a pub in the heart of Weybourne.We have a menu using the best of local produce, including seafood landed on the beach at Weybourne!We have a great bar area, with a roaring log burner in winter, two dining areas and a lounge. We are dog friendly but we ask that Fido is kept on leads at all times. Dogs are permitted in the bar, bar dining area and garden, but not in the lounge and main dining room. A great place for a drink and mardle with locals at the bar, a stop over on your walk or an evening meal. We have something for everyone at the Ship.

The Byfords Festivi-Tea was excellent. From the savoury bites, to the festive sandwiches, the small cakes were a delight, who knew you could have a mince pie macaron, it really worked. Thanks for a fabulous afternoon and to your wonderfully trained, friendly, attentive staff. Look forward to seeing you all again in March, we have golden tickets to redeem too.

For us today’s star was a beef casserole and dumplings. Ideal winter food. Followed by the crumble for desert. Heaven!!

I had the black treacle cured bacon steak and although it filled me up I could have had another, it was so good. Definitely recommend. Also the scotch eggs are to die for.

It’s been a while since we’ve had an Assembly House afternoon tea and had forgotten quite how good they are compared to others available. We were warmly greeted at restaurant reception and quickly shown to our table. After a suitable time gap our drinks request was taken by a friendly and efficient staff member, our pots of tea soon arriving. Our multi tiered tea stand then arrived with an explanation of all the delights thereon, with a request to just ask when we were ready for our scones and/or wanted our second pot of tea. Every tier was a delight as were the scones. Several other tables opted for the ‘doggie box’ but I’m afraid we scoffed the lot. We have a Norfolk Passport card so we’re entitled to a 10% discount. A lovely ‘afternoon out’, delightful food in a charming setting with very pleasant staff. Thank you.
