Dante and his team are the new-kids on Moody Street, Waltham but old pros in the Boston area. Dante has been cooking in his home town of Abruzzo since 1979. His passion for cooking grew as explored the all the flavors and recipes of the Adriatic Sea which surrounded him. Il Capriccio serves a constantly changing Northern Italian menu featuring local products with an award winning Italian wine and Grappa list. GUSTAZO is one of the very few authentic Cuban restaurants in the Boston area. Located at 240 Moody street, it offers traditional Cuban cuisine in a modern and inventive way.     Mangia Mondays meal deal for two is a great way to sample a bunch of their dishes. Even better was the service. Our server Phil (5th grade teacher by day) was excellent. He knew exactly what to do to make our first experience memorable.

    Excellent food, I had the bay scallops which were sweet and very tasty. My wife had the crusted halibut again excellently prepared and very flavorful. A bit pricey but well done.

    Had dinner out to catch up with a friend. Nice vibe- there was Christmas music playing. Our first time dining here- beautiful restaurant. Decorated Christmas tree near the hostess stand. Energetic bar area. The server and other staff we interacted with were friendly and attentive- lots of refills on our waters without having to ask. We always appreciate that. My friend had a beautiful beet salad and grilled shrimp skewers that she said were excellent. The rainy weather had me ordering onion au gratin soup and then the bolognese. Both were very good and I’d order again. We enjoyed lemon sorbet and cannoli (4 per serving) for dessert. Will definitely be back. Looking forward to trying Stazione (sister restaurant).
