Set in Kansas City’s historic City Market, Brown and Loe Restaurant’s inviting atmosphere is a blend of “big city” bistro with the welcoming casual flavor of a neighborhood favorite. Housed in a former Merchant’s Bank constructed in 1920, the restaurant honors the architectural details of the two-story building which features a façade of plate glass and verde marble floors and walls. In the 1940’s, Brown and Loe was originally a produce broker with offices on the second floor of the Merchant’s Bank building. The new Brown and Loe Restaurant celebrates the techniques of curing, pickling and smoking meats, beautifully interpreted into marvelous American comfort cuisine. We celebrated an anniversary and was seated in a quaint alcove near the bar. This provided a private atmosphere and good view of some Christmas lights at a nearby park. The food was perfection and service top notch. The chicken roulette was sooo good and the waitress suggested substituting mashed potatoes for the jasmine rice. Great suggestion! The prime rib my husband had was a little too charred for his liking but very good nonetheless. Great place to celebrate an anniversary! We will return 👍🏻👍🏻

My dining experience at the Majestic was excellent and very personable!!! Ted took care of me and my grandmother for her 65th birthday, she felt very special. We got a full history about the place on top of the food being excellent. The ribeye That we received was buttery and juicy and the mac & cheese was hot and well seasoned! On top of that the drinks kept consistently coming. The crabcake appetizer was so tasty as well as the Caesar salad. I couldn’t think the staff enough for my excellent experience my grandmother and I would give this a 10 out of 10/10!!!!
