Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant that specialise in pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. In 1976 Michael Garman returned to Brighton and opened IL Bistroafter being inspired by the Italian and French culture and cuisineduring his travels to the Provence and the western coast of Italy.His goal was to open Brighton’s first Mediterranean steakhouse.For the first time, Brightonians were able to order fresh pasta,arancini, dry aged beef, tiramisu and negronis.47 years later and now being operated by Michael's son Abe,IL Bistro still stands by the same principles, using local suppliersand produce, fresh ingredients and the best available dryaged British beef. The restaurant is situated in an 18th centuryfisherman’s cottage which we find rather fitting after Michaelspent years in Portofino, Livorno and Saint-Tropez, Europe’smost famous fishing villages.Booking info:Since reopening from covid we ask for a £10 per person deposit in our busier times which gets deducted from your bill at the end of your meal.     It's a superb setting for a pre-Christmas lunch treat. The food was fantastic and just enough to delight the taste buds and leave enough energy for shopping in the afternoon. The reception team and waiters were attentive and friendly. The decor is stunning and lifts the whole experience. Thank you.

    Loved the food! We had a selection of foods we haven't had yet and we're pleasantly surprised by the amount of amazing flavours, textures and ingredients! The cheviche was my favourite! Lovely waitress that comes from Peru herself; owner run. Quirky & energetic energy. Loved it and definitely recommend!

    Absolutely spot on for our son's 18th birthday lunch with family. Very accommodating and everyone loved their food choices. Very reasonably priced for the quality, lovely staff and super service. I later realised we hadn't left as big a tip as intended so will double next time, there will definitely be a next time! Thank you.

    This was our first visit to Purezza. The food was amazing as was the service. Thank you. In fact the cheesecake was so delicious I bought an extra one to take home!
