A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt. Absolutely magnificent lunch. Delicious house made pate appetizer. Creamy melt in your mouth quiche with a bounty of salad that could have made a meal in itself. Make sure you save room for the chocolate pate dessert. This is the type of restaurant you wish you had in your own neighborhood so you could go there often. Even though it was a 30 minute ride from me, I’ll be back.

Amazing food, service and look of the place. Music was perfect once it was changed to Sinatra. I love Christmas music but it’s a bit early for it. Overall experience 10/10.

Steve and the whole crew were exemplary. The valentines day vibes were immaculate. The whole team was friendly, curteous, and so nice. 10/10
