Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes. We are currently open seven days a week. Saturday & Sunday we are open with an All Day Menu. Reservations can be made on our website, or through OpenTable. Due to the intimate nature of our dining room, if you would like to make a reservation for more than 4 guests, please give us a call at the restaurant. We hold reservations for a 15 minute grace period. Please call us if you are running late, we will do our best to hold your table but cannot guarantee it. Due to the size of our dining room, we do appreciate 1.5 hour dining experiences for parties of 1-2 guests, 2 hours for parties of 3-4, and 2.5 hours for parties of 5 or more guests that book reservations.     Grill 23 on Valentine's Day was as spectacular as usual. We started out with the Seafood Tower, had a French Onion Soup, followed it with a Wedge Salad, and then the Rib Eye. Food was awesome as ever and the bread basket was filled with great goodies such as corn bread, raisin pumpernickel, and more. The extensive wine list provided a lot of choices and we started with a Paul Hobbs and ended with a Screaming Eagle.

    My girlfriend and I both work in hospitality and came for an early Valentine's dinner since we have to work for it. Our waiter, Jimmy, was amazing, we ordered all of our food at once and asked Jimmy to pace it out using his judgement. We also asked for recommendations on a fruity/dry Wine pairing, which he did wonderfully and paired with multiple items we ordered. Everything was delicious and the oyster mushrooms were spectacular. To end our meal they brought us over a delicious digestivo and even got us a reservation downstairs at Hecate following our dinner. Amazing experiences thank you!

    The service, food and beverages were great as usual. I meet a friend once a month and have never been disappointed! I had the chicken Milanese and my friend had the cannellini bean all forno.
