Due to limited seating, we are only accepting in-house reservations. Please call the restaurant directly for a reservation. Located in Historic Downtown Tarboro, one of the oldest towns in North Carolina, On the Square Restaurant offers seasonal, sustainable ingredients that are celebrated throughout the ever-changing menu. Open for dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and for lunch on Monday through Friday, we are as proud of our food and comfortable atmosphere as we are of our eclectic and value-driven wine list.

    We enjoyed every bit of our dining experience. It was our daughter's Birthday on Christmas Eve and they made it another level higher. From friendly staff to great food it was top notch, and they treated us to a candle cupcake and champagne with a mocktale for our minor.

    Our first time dining at Perry's and what a great experience! We had the Prix Fixe Christmas Eve dinner that included an appetizer, entree and dessert. It was all so good! The restaurant was busy for the holiday but we never felt rushed. Everyone was friendly and welcoming! Can't wait to go back.

    Totally a treasure in Rocky Mount or anywhere east of Raleigh. Husband’s steak was tender and full of flavor and cooked perfectly. His sides (creamed spinach and Midas potatoes) both just amazing. I ordered the fresh catch and the ahi tuna was excellent. The Brussels sprouts that accompanied the dish were perfectly charred, salty and delicious. I had to order the bacon pimento cheese Mac n cheese to try. I was angry I could not finish it but so happy it was boxed to enjoy later. We will be back again soon and often.

    Kate, our server, was awesome! She managed our table of 6 and another table of 6 and other orders with grace and efficiency. The bar was pretty "backed up" so took drinks along time to come out. But all orders were correct, food was delicious, and we enjoyed our time
