LAVO Los Angeles is a 250-seat coastal Italian restaurant designed for an unparalleled, year-round alfresco dining experience. The restaurant offers an elevated indoor and outdoor dining experience while boasting a spacious sun-drenched dining room with a retractable roof, operable windows, and luxurious Italian furnishings throughout.The kitchen is helmed by Chef Ralph Scamardella, whose menu balances dishes inspired by coastal southern Italy and influenced by Southern California produce while paying homage to LAVO’s signature Italian classics and his Italian-American background.The beverage program features dramatic iterations on the classics alongside bold signature drinks. LAVO’s robust wine program complements the restaurant’s Italian inspiration and West Coast locale, featuring a vast selection of Old-World wines, as well as wines from California’s iconic regions.

The Terrace at the famous Sunset Tower Hotel debuted a new look in May of 2018, featuring a refreshed outdoor dining experience with updated furnishings and an elegant new bar. The Tower Bar Restaurant has split views of the city from either side of the lobby. It offers a swank lounge, bar and an al fresco dining experience. Custom made banquettes line the windows that showcase an unparalleled view of the Los Angeles skyline. Art deco design influences include walnut with gold inlay trim in a subtle, muted color scheme. The delectable menu features California Bistro with Italian fare. A dress code is enforced, please call for information.We are now open daily for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is offered six nights a week, Monday-Saturday. We are unable to guarantee a seating preference of indoors or outdoors. We recommend a sweater or light coat during the evenings.Shorts, baseball caps, sweats, sandals, tank tops, phone calls, computers and photos are not permitted.

    The seating experience was great! Were brought to the bar for a drink and then our table, staff was very nice. The food was great, but our server was not very friendly. Seating was fast and course timing was perfect. Would recommend!

    This was founded by the original owners of Mastro’s and, before tonight, most of my wine buddies had been here and told me how much they loved it. “Best Steakhouse in LA” they told me! I was somewhat skeptical. Tonight, I experienced it for myself and it was truly wonderful! We had a very attentive and thoughtful server, Jess, whom I will absolutely request on my next visit there. She knows the menu inside and out, is not timid about making suggestions, and was not at all flustered by our “Sally-like” requests (from the movie with “everything on the side”!). We had one minor issue (the kitchen’s not Jess’) and after Jess fixed it for us to our complete satisfaction, the Manager came over to make sure. He was incredibly friendly; took ownership; comped dessert; and, frankly, reinforced the incredibly positive vibes I had gotten interacting with our servers and the hostesses on our arrival. All-in-all this is a fantastic restaurant with top-quality food, presented beautifully, and served lovingly. 5-Stars all the way!

    I hosted my 40th birthday at the Sunset Tower Bar, and it was flawless. Stunning sunset views, oysters, champagne, truffle fries, and a perfectly cooked steak—every detail was spot on. The vibe was chic, the service seamless, and the night unforgettable. Can’t wait to go back!
