Mamakas Taverna is an elegant 85-seat Greek taverna on Ossington Ave. Owner Thanos Tripi brings a fresh, authentic approach to Aegean food, offering classical Greek dishes against a contemporary canvas. Each plate is thoughtfully crafted to evoke the way Thanos’ grandmother cooked, inviting guests to explore the Greece he grew up with through food, art and music.Meant to mimic an open market, the room is built of white concrete blocks creating an effect similar to the stucco seen throughout Greece.     Our host who got us seated, was absolutely lovely!! The food was good but the view and pop culture jazz music was so good (they were playing Harry styles)!! THE VIEW WAS BEAUTIFUL and so many cute photo opportunities!! Such a great place for couples and friends!

    Beautiful dining room, attentive, well-I formed service, delicious food with an excellent selection of seemingly very fresh fish and a noise level that is actually conducive to conversation. Despite its size, the room was packed. Great for a special occasion.

    Aera is one of my favourite restaurants to celebrate anything. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and I brought him to celebrate. The food is AMAZING! I ordered the rigatoni and he ordered the stuffed chicken with a side of mash potatoes. The portions are amazing you will definitely leave feeling full! The restaurant has a stunning view over the city, and it is an amazing place to take cute photos. Staff is really sweet, and definitely makes you feel welcomed. The prices are reasonable and you won’t break the bank to eat luxury.

    Another extraordinary meal. Appreciated the warm welcome and attentive professional service provided by Harshit, the manager of Roses. They always go above and beyond. The suggested grilled salmon was cooked to perfection and the sides precisely prepared to make for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend.
