Al Molo is an award-winning Italian restaurant launched in 2015 and transformed Weymouth’s Pier Bandstand into a destination for wonderful Italian food. Co-owners Giuseppe Vannucci & Tim Newton achieved national recognition from the Italian Chamber of Commerce with the “Marchio Ospitalità Italiana“ seal of quality award and won Gold for ‘Restaurant Of The Year’ at the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards.Building on that success, this new restaurant, their second, Al Molo Dorchester, is traditional Italian cuisine and seafood Restaurant focus to bring fresh, locally caught fish to the forefront of the menu.Situated in one of Dorchester’s oldest buildings, Judge Jeffreys on High West Street, one of the few surviving timber-framed buildings in Dorchester.Using fresh, locally caught fish and produce, coupled with the finest Italian ingredients, the restaurant will pride itself on quality food in a venue which provides a unique historical setting.

AA Accredited - COVID-19 ConfidentWe are not a ‘fancy pants’ establishment. Not in the least. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019. We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

You'll find us nestled snugly right on Seatown Beach, hidden along one of the many coves that litter Dorset's famous Jurassic coastline. Once a smugglers haunt, the pub now serves a seasonal menu with a focus on seafood and fresh local produce. We aim to make everyone feel welcome, whatever their preferences. Our seasonal menu includes vegetarian and vegan options and we cater for all dietary requirements. As parents, owners Hannah and Mo appreciate the importance of including children around the table and offer young guests a smaller portion of many of our main menu dishes.We are open all day *Tuesday through to Sunday, and always have something to eat on offer but to avoid disappointment please note our key timings: Tuesday-Saturday: Breakfast is served from 9am - 11am, Lunch from 12 mid-day to 2.30pm, then Dinner (including our new Children’s Menu) from 5.30pm with last orders by 9pm. On Sundays we serve Brunch from 9am until 11am and then a Roast Lunch from 12.00 midday until last orders at 3pm. In between those times we offer our famous sausage rolls, scotch eggs, olives, pastries and cakes (subject to availability) as well as a full bar offering, non-alcoholic drinks, smoothies and hot drinks.
