Maya is now accepting reservations from 4:30-8:30 Monday through Saturday as well as curbside take out orders during the same hours. Please visit our homepage to see our updated selections daily. Please call if you require a reservation over 8 guests. Seating preferences will be honored based on volume and staffing. Located in the center of Charlottesville Virginia’s Midtown, MAYA serves dinner 6 days a week. Our “made from scratch” menu is prepared daily in honor of the Old Southern Kitchen.

Seasonal Local American Cuisine. We use many local products from local farmers. We are located about a mile west of the University of Virginia campus. Historic old home turned into a restaurant. Three small intimate dining rooms upstairs, one on the ground floor and a large weather protected patio. In the winter the Patio is heated. Family owned since 1995. Special diet needs met upon request.

    This is a regular stop when I have to come into town for work. It’s just hard to get a reservation when the patio is closed (aka the winter!). Always get the filet and it is yet to disappoint (4 times and counting). There sauces are good - but the salt flakes are amazing. Highlights and compliments the natural flavors. Tried some new sides - both excellent. The mushroom ragot was great, but don’t need to get it again. The brussel sprouts were amazing and rivaled the smashed potatoes (my personal favorite). I will definitely be getting them again. If you like steak in a relaxed atmosphere, you will like this restaurant.

    This is a fun, casual neighborhood gem! If we lived here, we definitely would be regular customers. They have an innovative cocktail list with items as potent as they are tasty. All of the food from appetizers to entrees to desserts were delicious and full of flavor. And the friendly, engaging, attentive service was the topper to a great dining experience!

    We were happy to celebrate Christmas dinner at The Ridley, a new restaurant for us near home. Our server was the best we’ve ever had! She was very attentive and sweet, even offering to take our picture. The southern-style Christmas buffet was excellent, especially the collards and desserts, according to my partner. I had blackened salmon, perfectly prepared.
