Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org. Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables. Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Bar Chelou is a neo-bistro that is both a distillation of Chef Doug Rankin's broad gastronomic interests and a deeply personal expression of his individualistic style. 'Chelou' (French slang for ‘strange’ or ‘unexpected’) is both the name and unifying theme of the restaurant, which draws from a range of culinary traditions and service styles to create something personal, novel, and fun. It’s a very nice restaurant , great decor, great food and great service. We ordered lots of dishes but one I liked the most was the Thai soft shelled crab curry, very tasty and good. I highly recommend this place .

great bubbly, sandwiches, desserts and tea; perfect service. Next time (there will definitely be a next time!) I would ask to keep the scones and add fruit (decrease the hard to dismiss desserts). thanks for a great bday photo! (servers are excellent photographers).

I’ve been to Bar Chelou a few times but they have really hit their stride. The service was on point, the drinks were fun and delicious, and the food was incredible. Every dish had an unexpected twist, from the mini peperoncinis in the salad to the tang of peanut butter in the carrots to the umami in the tempura mushrooms, lovely surprises all around! And they coursed everything out beautifully and got us to the show at the Playhouse right on time, chef’s kiss!
