Accessed from the High Street and through a glass lobby, Quod restaurant with its terrace and bar, forms the hub of the Old Bank Hotel. Formerly a banking hall it was transformed by owner Jeremy Mogford to become Oxford's largest and most successful restaurant. The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders. Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. We also have a comfortable outdoor terrace and garden area with picturesque babbling brook. Delicious New Year Brunch 🤤, great restaurant setting, beautiful ladies-room. Unfortunately my order of an extra immunity smoothie got forgotten and the Aircon was put on on the request of the middle table guests (6 people) who were wearing their coats and jackets while eating 🤔 making us freezing cold for our dessert. 😔

We went for a glorious Sunday afternoon walk around Christchurch Meadows and had a cream tea at Quod. The scones were fresh, still warm and delicious. Wonderful thick cream and sticky strawberry jam, heaven. Quod is beautiful at Christmas equisite in its tasteful decorations, enhancing its ambiance and the beauty of its building. Service polite. Highly recommended.
