100% Plant-Based restaurant in Wicker Park. We have always had the core belief of being as good to ourselves (and the earth) as possible, but as we grow, we have always wanted to do more. With this desire, we decided to open Bloom Plant Based kitchen. Not only is eating a more plant-based diet healthier and more forgiving to one’s body, but it is significantly better for the environment. However, with healthy plant-based options not being the popular choice, we know we have stiff competition. Taxim, which is located in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, features regionally-inspired Greek dishes paired with an all-Greek wine list. The stunning dining room is fitted with soaring 16-foot ceilings, travertine marble floors, dramatic Byzantine-style lamps and artwork, and the rooftop dining area lined with Greek flowering herbs.The restaurant was chosen as one of of Chicago's Best New Restaurants in 2009/2010 by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine and the Chicago Reader.     10/10, I love this restaurant so much, and this trip didn’t disappoint. It was my birthday, and the staff was so nice and kind, and the food was amazing as usual (highlights were the French onion soup, Manion style steak frites, and a caviar egg special dish). The whole evening was truly a special and memorable night.

    The food was spectacular. Drinks and dessert may still need tinkering. But again, the food we had was better than some Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to. I will be running back for the food. We had the cauliflower salad, octopus, lamb tacos, and salmon and they were all around 9/10 or better. Wow.

    Lex our server was fabulous from start to finish! He explained the starters and entrees beautifully. We got the braised short ribs which were flavorful and tender just as described. It was our first time, from the host warmly greeting us while they gave the kids a stuffie each. The girls ordered from the kids menu which gave them a beautiful mug to take home! The fairy that went our granting wishes was truly magical! And to top it all off they took complimentary family photo to remember the outing. Definitely will be back and start a new family Christmas tradition! Thank you again Lex and staff for making it a very special and memorable evening!

    Great beer and great pizza. We loved the Hot Doug’s Atomic Sausage and the Honey Butter Fried Chicken pizzas. Also, very happy that they take reservations for larger parties!
