Havana has been committed to serving local and organic meats, produce and seafood since it opened 25 years ago. All of our meats are “naturally raised” meaning no steroids, antibiotics or hormones and “humanely raised” meaning room to roam, proper shelter and gentle handling. We make every effort to buy only sustainably harvested seafood, primarily from the Gulf of Maine. We have consistently searched out New England farmers and fisherfolk to purchase product that is not only great tasting but great for the environment and local economy as well.

Delectable local Maine cuisine and attentive service are surpassed only by the magnificent panoramic ocean views.Start your evening with locally farmed oysters while deciding between our signature Beef Short Ribs or Filet and Lobster Tail fresh from the boats on the Harbor. Linger over a slice of Maine Blueberry Pie while you enjoy a crafted cocktail and soft piano music.Smart casual attire is preferred, but not required. We do not accept parties exceeding 6 people. Jordan Pond House, a restaurant and shop with a long tradition within Acadia National Park, sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful lawn along the Jordan Pond. Guests have been enjoying these amazing views and dining at this site since 1893 when Nellie McIntire, the first proprietor, started baking and serving her famous popovers out of the restaurant. Ever since then, we have been serving popovers and tea.Please note: Reservations may be made for inside dining only. Due to weather variability, we are unable to accommodate reservations for the lawn. Please inform the host at the time of your arrival if you would prefer outdoor seating, and we would be happy to accommodate your request, pending availability.

The first floor offering an array of ambient possibilities; catering to all types of gatherings, both large and small.NOTES: Booking “Bar” is a seat on the 1st floor or 3rd bar*, there are no tables.Booking “Counter” is an outdoor seat at our chair rail on our rooftop.*Booking “Outdoors” is a table on our rooftop.**Guests must be able to walk up multiple flights of stairs. This outdoor seating experience is not undercover.     The Valentine's Day dinner was epic... Got seated and the hostess brought us a bottle of water.... No glasses so we sat there and laughed about it and continued... Ordered drinks and waited... First course comes out still no glasses or drinks ... Finally a different waiter came over to bring the second course and we let him know about our drinks he very quickly returned with them .. coming into the 3rd course I got soup with was absolutely incredible accept for the fact I didn't get a spoon to eat it with so by the time I got one it was cold but very quickly was given a brand new hot dish... Then, we received the 6th course which was by total mistake and very delicious too by the way we had the most fun! Water with no glasses soup with no spoon and an extra course! Was epic the service was all in all very good, food was amazing.!!! Atmosphere was perfect !! Would give it 9.5 out of 10. I think there was some timing issues and new unfamiliar staff for the first time doing a 5 course meal setting it was very good and would definitely return again to see how they improved great job everyone who took part in the service!

    The perfect wintery meal on a cold night! From the festive eggnog and the sharply delicious vinaigrette on the house salad, to the rich short ribs and ice cream- it was just perfect. So grateful to have a dependably good restaurant open to celebrate with friends in the holiday season!

    The Reading Room is classic white linen high class dining at its best!! Menu, food, service & ambience all first rate! Our server was very professional (can’t recall her name) & very menu knowledgeable - only issue was that the noise level made it difficult to have a good conversation! We’ve been there many times over the years & it is always the highlight of our visits to Bar Harbor!!

    It took a month to get in and it was worth it. I had frequented the pond house when I was young (35 yrs ago) and I had been wanting to get back. It was as good as I remember. Staff got us in earlier than our reservation time, waitstaff were friendly and welcoming and the popovers and jam are the best I’ve had! Definitely worth the visit/experience.
