We are brand new to Patchogue & couldn't be happier to serve our local community freshly prepared meatballs a variety of different ways.Our idea began years ago when we realized the simplicity of the meatball and how it is a comfort food to many. We all grew up with our Grandmothers making Sunday dinner and "The Meatball" being the focal point of the day. We cherish those days of coming together with our families and the memories we created. Casual waterfront dining right on the docks of the Patchogue River, The Oar serves up fresh and delicious steaks and seafood.  Chefs prepare specialties like coconut shrimp, 36 oz sizzling prime porterhouse, lobster quesadillas and fresh Bluepoint oysters and little clams which are delivered daily.  Two dining rooms are decorated in traditional nautical style.  The front wall in made up of French doors that open onto the water, providing dockside open air seating in warm months and picturesque views of the marina year-round.  The rear dining room is elegant with raise panel mahogany, white table clothes and blue and white nautical stripe wall paper.  We look forward to accommodating your special occasion in the separate catering room.  The restaurant stocks full indoor and outdoor bars so you'll never miss a beautiful night at this fun and entertaining spot.

    Excellent place, the food is amazing. The mole is a must have. We were a large group but the place can accommodate large groups.

    Been craving wagyu for awhile and chops had the best value for sure. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and had a cute reservation sign made for our table. Mel, our waiter, was super friendly and helpful. Will hopefully be back again!

    I forgot to take pictures of our foods ordered. We lucked out and it wasn’t busy. We had a show at the Theater to attend. Our waitress was great. First time I had an Old Fashioned, been curious about it and it was really good. I had the Burrata Salad with grilled shrimp and it was delicious. Fresh ingredients. Hubs ordered Best Chicken on the Block and he enjoyed it. Our friends ordered the Southwest Chopped Salad and the House Burger. Both were pleased with their meal. Plus a cocktail Rusty Nail, which was also tasty. Also an order of Hand Cut Fries for the table. It was a big plate, plenty for four people to share and tasty. Next time I go I’ll be ordering a Rusty Nail. I like the look of their bar style, just something about it.
