Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers. We do not believe in premade, mass produced food. We source locally grown or raised products whenever possible and use one of the cleanest natural burning resources to heat our ovens. At SLYCE less is more, as our fresh ingredients are delicately placed, not piled on, to create a perfectly balanced pie. We made an early reservation to enjoy a quieter dinner. The server was wonderful and the food was good as always. I was a little confused with my wedge salad as it had an oil and vinegar dressing on it in addition to the sparing blue cheese dressing. Either way it was delicious.

Cute place in the heart of Wauconda! Other locations in Vernon Hills& Rosemont per our server. Great choice of appetizers to share: ( we had stuffed mushrooms & Nonni’s meatballs) Italian salad, & 2 pizzas: one tomato based the other with white sauce base: both were delicious! They offer sandwiches as well, & gelato in the front of Slyce! We enjoyed our meal, & will be back

Nice menu. A little limited but all good choices. Looking forward to going back in the summer. Will return before then. Very very nice view. Server Ashley was a 10!
