Every staff person we encountered was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and we were not rushed at all.

Grill 23 on Valentine's Day was as spectacular as usual. We started out with the Seafood Tower, had a French Onion Soup, followed it with a Wedge Salad, and then the Rib Eye. Food was awesome as ever and the bread basket was filled with great goodies such as corn bread, raisin pumpernickel, and more. The extensive wine list provided a lot of choices and we started with a Paul Hobbs and ended with a Screaming Eagle.

Good service and the food was excellent. My only complaint? It was almost closing time, so the kitchen staff wasn't busy. However, we could hear them talking loudly amongst themselves in Spanish. That alone isn't an issue, of course, but as a fluent Spanish speaker, it bothered me that they were joking with each other while cursing loudly in Spanish. I can only assume that they assumed no one understood (or cared) about what they were saying, but it just felt jarring to hear, when you're having conversations at the dinner table with your fellow guests, and you understand perfectly what they were talking and cursing about. Needless to say, it just seemed to detract from the quaintness of the place and the level of service we received from the wait staff.

Loved the ambience! The drinks were good. The crab dip was amazing.

It was a very unique and delicious dinning experence. I highly recommend it. It is a interactive BBQ which we found to be lots of fun but maybe not for everybody. Great for date night.
