The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. The Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas or perhaps a glass of Champagne, delicate finger sandwiches, warm freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and home-made jam, not to mention our tasty pastries. Food was delicious, ambience was amazing and our server Katherine was delightful and very attentive ! We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was the perfect place for a special occasion. ❤️ highly recommend and will definitely come back.

We had a lovely evening (& overnight stay) & the food & service was so pleasant. We were able to chat & catch up in such pretty & comfortable surroundings. The staff were helpful & pleasant in a very unassumimg way. We have already enquired about rebooking! Barbara

This was an amazing experience. We had a last minute adjustment to our party size (2 instead of 3) and the staff was so accommodating. They were all attentive and kind without being overbearing. The food and drinks were phenomenal, with a lovely view of the grounds. I would absolutely recommend this experience!
