Descartes' House​附近的餐廳

Really impressed with our visit yesterday. My friend has severe allergies and all she’s been able to eat all week was a certain fast food chain because every restaurant we visited couldn’t cater for her allergy requirements. But as soon as we arrived and spoke to Alvaro it was clear Hard Rock were different. Alvaro immediately put my friend at ease as he was so knowledgeable about each dish and he helped her to understand what she could have. He was absolutely fantastic and the food was yummy!! Also really reasonably priced! Alvaro is a credit to your team!!

We loved Jottum, small venue outside the main tourist thoroughfare. Excellent tapas all around, best meal we have had in Amsterdam no pretension just great food in a charming location. We have a strict gluten-free diner in our party and they had plenty of menu items to accommodate. The coffee and desserts were also excellent. Will try to go a second time before we leave Amsterdam.

The food and atmosphere is fantastic. It’s very small and they must have overbooked because 4 sets of couples were standing in the front of the restaurant with 8 pm tables and they could not all fit in the restaurant. They seated three at once upstairs with the same server, a huge faux pas where we live (Mrs worked in the restaurant business). The server spilled a tray all over another table and basically decided to take the rest of the night off which after getting three tables at once had to be stressful. Still, the actual food was spectacular and the ambience was so cozy we were able to get past all the service issues. The shrimp appetizer was delicious. The rillette was perfect and the tournedos were exactly as ordered. The chocolate crumble was amazing. So what started off pretty rough was saved by the chef’s skill and the staff covering for their colleague.
