Thank you for visiting Kenichi Izakaya Carbondale. An Izakaya is a type of informal Japanese pub. At sake breweries during the late 18th century, people in Japan began using sake kegs as stools, and snacks were served. This small plate menu was designed to encourage sharing amongst friends and family. Food is prepared in multiple kitchens and arrives as it is ready to ensure freshness. We make most of our menu in-house, from scratch, and use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.If no reservations are available, please note that we do have walk in apcae at our bar and sushi bar. Always a great meal at Sweet Basil. We celebrated our anniversary last night at Sweet Basil. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the steak tarter / bone marrow and the Caesar salad, oh and the whipped feta!! For main course we had the Colorado Drum and the roasted duck - Both excellent!! Our server was very good knowledgeable about food and wine. Overall, we had a fantastic night.

This was an amazing place to have dinner while visiting Vail. The atmosphere was incredible - so many amazing presentations of food and drinks. They are SO family friendly..we came with two toddlers and still had an enjoyable time - the staff was so accommodating. Highly recommend for any families visiting Vail! We’ll be back.

Everything was great! Seated promptly at our reservation time. Server was so great! She was attentive and great with dietary accommodations. Food was amazing. Ambiance amazing.
