Judith is an American Tavern from Chef Julia Sullivan located in the old, historic steam laundry building in Sewanee, TN. Named after the first woman to matriculated into University of The South, Judy Lineback, Judith Tavern serves as a vibrant gathering place designed to celebrate the community of residents, professors, and students within the area. The space has been thoughtfully restored to retain elements of its original construction, preserving the character of the building as a keepsake to Sewanee’s rich history. What fun! And a wonderful addition to the Sewanee Village. I called one of my dishes a 'flavor explosion in my mouth'. Everything was delicious and really first-class. I felt like I was in a fancy big city! Don't miss the vanilla ice cream. The service was great and welcoming. Can't wait to go back!

Whenever we are in town, we always go to STIR. I couldn’t get us in for brunch, but lunch today was amazing. Our server wasn’t very attentive and even though the restaurant was almost empty, it took a long time to get our drinks and lunch. We will be back though!
