Please see the menu link below to see an example of our offerings.Partners Matt Kelly and Josh “Skinny” DeCarolis are proud to offer Mothers & Sons, a trattoria in downtown Durham featuring regional Italian food with seasonal sensibility. DeCarolis introduces the first restaurant in the South to focus on fatta a mano —handmade pasta. Mothers and Sons offers antipasti dishes such seasonal bruschettas or smoked octopus. Choose from primi dishes like the bucatini al amatriciana, squid ink tonnarelli or rigatoni alla norma and secondi dishes like the bistecca alla floretina and eggplant parmigiana. Dishes are made with seasonal ingredients so menus may change depending on when you visit.     This is one of our favorite restaurants in Durham, and we’ve done a lot of eating here! Our group tried 10 different plates from across the menu and had several drinks— it’s a rare occasion when NOTHING disappoints!! The service is also great. It’s top notch but not pretentious at all… very fun and knowledgeable. We love Tony the bartender. He had awesome recommendations and was on his game.

    First time visiting JuJu through friends and family members rave about it. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, cocktails / cocktails and especially the food before our DPAC show. The staff and servers were awesome and all of the food was creative, unique and delicious. The Bomb a$$ Shrimp was a favorite along with the short rib wontons. Will definitely be back!

    We went for Christmas dinner. We used to go for their buffet meals at different holidays like Thanksgiving, Easter and Mother’s Day and we loved it. We really enjoyed the meal there today and hope they continue to offer it, or maybe return to the buffet offering. Maybe a bit more advertising would help them have a bigger number of folks. Our waitress was so nice and took great care of us. The food was excellent, and the restaurant is a nice place to have a meal. Try it, if you haven’t.

    Love the new look of the dining room and the very comfortable chairs. Good menu options for our table. The oysters were perfectly made, could have had 2 orders. Everyone enjoyed themselves
