Opening its doors in 1952, Club Lago has anchored the corner of Superior and Orleans since before the neighborhood River North grew up around it. Serving classic Northern Italian specialties from the Garfagnana Valley in Tuscany to steaks, chops and signature sandwiches too, the Lago's staff will recommend the perfect entree for whatever mood you're in. Third generation owners GianCarlo and Guido are pouring the wine or serving the veal--it's a family affair. The Restaurant at BIÂN is a private establishment.BIÂN co-founder and acclaimed restaurateur Kevin Boehm, leads the F&B program at the restaurant at BIÂN. It was designed with intention, is ambitious in its sourcing, and contains broad offerings. On-site Chef Ryan Maher, has curated a menu based on healthy food that is still craveable. The menu’s mission statement: “Creating the best tasting food, that still aligns with member’s health initiatives.”- Maher began baking with his Mother at 5 years old. That early passion for cooking led him to Culinary School at Kendall College and a job at the Peninsula Hotel. In 2014 he met his mentor Chef Lee Wolen of James Beard Award Winning Boka Restaurant Group which began a journey with him at the Michelin starred Lobby at the Peninsula, Michelin starred Boka, and Somerset. Ryan’s special skill sets are highlighted in his role with BIÂN: flexibility of cuisine, managing a team, and curating a menu that is symmetrical to the restaurant’s ethos.
