Run by experienced couple Simon & Charlie alongside our team of staff we are the perfect place to sit back and enjoy our delicious menu with your favourite drink in hand. For the warmer days we’ve got 2 large beer terraces to the front & rear of the pub and those darker nights we dim the lights, set the ambience and make sure everything’s to our customers satisfaction.Whether it be a light lunch from our smaller plates menu served Monday- Friday 12-5pm or a two course set meal from our evening set menu served Monday- Wednesday 5-8pm we’ll be more than happy to accommodate you. On Saturday evenings we also hold live music from 8pm- why not join us for a meal followed by some live entertainment whilst soaking up the atmosphere at the Derwent Arms.Car parking to the rear with space for upto 40 vehicles, we also offer camper van stopovers. Arrived an hour before our lunch booking and were seated with no problem. Ordered from the market menu, 3 delicious courses with a glass of fizz. Super efficient and polite staff, great ambiance. My 2nd visit, won’t be the last. Definitely a ‘go to’ destination in York for lunch or dinner

Amazing quality of food. Fantastic service. Wanted something special for wife's birthday and our anniversary and it didn't disappoint. Given couple of Proseccos on the house and made to feel really special. Had couple of starters and then the signature flat iron steaks with accompaniments and it was cooked perfect and tasted amazing. Will definitely return.

Booking is very easy, we choose off the normal menu today, wev tried Sunday lunches before and are very nice. Our table was reserved for us ordered drinks an food at the bar like requested too. Food was hot quick & delicious. Will certainly be back great value for money, warm & welcoming a very busy with locals a great atmosphere. New drinks put on this week neck oil & inches both on draft, plenty of signs inside and outside the pub to enter car reg details. Cheers guys wel be back very soon 👌x
