Located on Charleston's Upper King Street, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves rustic Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With community tables, an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can accommodate 100 guests for a casual night of food and drinks. The wine list is focused on affordable Italian varietals, the Negroni cocktail is on tap, and the fresh sodas are made in-house. The massive wooden doors on Upper King Street are your first indication that Indaco is different from the typical Charleston restaurant. Rustic details continue inside with butcherblock tables, lime-wash walls, and white brick. An open kitchen with nearby community tables lets interested diners keep an eye on the action inside the kitchen. Travis and Ryan Croxton debut their spinoff from the highly acclaimed Rappahannock Oyster Bar at Union Market in Washington, DC. They’ve even brought their DC Chef, Kevin Kelly, to man the kitchen at this outpost. This location in the historic Cigar Factory Building on East Bay Street, allows room for Chef Kelly to showcase more of his cuisine to a larger audience, including an incredibly unique 40 seat raw bar. It was my husbands birthday and they spoiled us! We showed up to a gift and an appetizer on the house. Everything was delicious and the staff were extremely kind. Going to recommend this to all friends and family.

My experience at The Kingstide was amazing. From the moment me and my mother walked in the door we were not disappointed. We stared off with the house sausage and crab fried rice (Highly recommend both). We shared a NY Strip and the Scallops, both dishes were spectacular. We shared a KT Crunch Bar for dessert to cap off the night. Our server Madi provided amazing service. The AGM Jackie stopped by and she is lovely! Will definitely be back soon.

New space is very nice. Food is as wonderful as ever. My only issue is with the size of the tables for two - not much room to maneuver once you have three or more dishes on the table along with water glasses, wine and cocktail glasses. I know there’s not much to be done - just an observation and that won’t keep us from coming back soon

Our meal was top notch, my wife’s bass special was well cooked and nicely seasoned. My duck was the best I have eaten. The escargot appetizer was perfectly seasoned. Our server, Christin, was intuitive in her service and fun to chat with vs as food was brought. Highly recommended.
