Montesacro is the first “Pinseria Romana” in the United States. The Cavalier is a London-inspired brasserie, located adjacent to Hotel Zetta in San Francisco's SoMA neighborhood. The upscale British influenced restaurant is brought to you by Executive Chef Jennifer Puccio, managing partner James Nicholas, and award winning San Francisco designer, Ken Fulk. The 135-seat restaurant is divided into four unique, intimate spaces: the Blue Bar, Main Dining Room, Wine Stables, and Rail Car.     It was great the place makes you feel like you are somewhere in Europe minus being in one of the worst places in town 6th street but I guess that adds to the adventure. The staff was great and the food was very good being that it was a limited menu being that it was Valentine’s Day.

    Omg, the smoked Old Fashioned drinks. Jose at the bar is a maestro. The pastas - pesto, carbonara, bucatini….the lamb chops….the pannacotta and the tiramisu - all over the top. The ambience is “old San Francisco” and connotes the spirit of the 1930s - a gorgeous combination for comfort and ease. Highly recommend.

    The bar area at the Cavalier is lively and a fun place to dine with friends or for a date at the bar. Cocktails are great and the full menu is offered. The Marlowe burger (their sister restaurant) with fries is delicious. The Skirt steak, beet salad, and Tuna Carpaccio were all solid. Special shout out to the host, Joel, who helped us with a last minute reservation on a busy night. Great team of servers and bartenders. Great place to go with a big group.
