Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. The interior is multi-faceted, with a black slate tiled traditional dining room, a gorgeous 14 person capacity wooden sushi bar, a semi private "tatami" room which holds 12 people, a larger 25 person private dining room, an enclosed "back patio" casual dining room complete with tropical garden, a black concrete liquor bar with custom sake cocktails and fusion traditional cocktails. The variety of atmospheres allows for a different experience with every visit, and the vastness and quality of the menu does the same.     We had a reservation and were promptly seated. Great service and great food. Food was brought to our table hot. Would definitely visit again. Tony was our server and did an amazing job.

    What a beautiful setting! The food was delicious, especially the scallops, shrimp and grits and the rib eye w frites. We ate family style and these were the favorites. French onion soup also really good. A little pricey but worth it for a special night out. Great cocktails too!

    Absolutely phenomenal experience from beginning to end. The ambience and decor are charming, whimsical while still being elegant. The service was top notch and friendly. The food was outstanding. I had the black cod with cauliflower puree, mushrooms and truffle plus a farro-type grain, absolutely delicious. My colleague had the lamb shank which was falling off the bone and had a ton of flavor. I highly recommend it!

    The low outdoor patio tables are very u realistic for eating sushi. If people are coming for dinner they should be seated at a table. The low tables are good for drinks and hand held but really bad for a dinner seating.
