In case you haven’t heard, Makoto has moved to an awesome new space on the 3rd floor. Re-envisioned by Paris-based designer India Mahdavi, it’s a bold new look which will take your dining experience to a whole new level. Bright colors and cozy banquettes. More outdoor dining. Makoto Okuwa ushers Japanese cuisine into the 21st century at his eponymous eatery, located on the 3rd floor of the luxurious Bal Harbour Shops. One of Miami’s most accomplished chefs, Okuwa, a master of Edomae-style sushi, reshapes tradition for a savvy audience eager for something new. Those looking for the perfect spot for a romantic date, a lunch with friends or to celebrate a special occasion, will delight in this remarkable cuisine immersed in a stunning setting created by internationally renowned designer, India Mahdavi.

Aba, meaning father in Hebrew, is a Mediterranean restaurant with a California influence. The menu features Top Chef Winner Chef CJ Jacobson’s modern approach to Mediterranean cooking, and the beverage program showcases spirits and rare wines from lesser known Mediterranean regions. Signature dishes on the menu include Smoky Garlic Hummus, Whipped Feta Spread, Hamachi, Shawarma-Spiced Skirt Steak and Bougatsa. Lido Restaurant at The Surf Club celebrates its place as the best oceanfront dining experience in the Miami Beaches. The Surf Club's once fabled ballroom, is now a destination for thoughtful Italian culinary; from crudos including Tonno al Tartufo Nero, made-in house pastas like Pacchero "alla Lido", to famed entrées like Branzino al Vapore.On Sundays we offer a Brunch Buffet experience with available seating on the Oceanfront Terrace or inside the Champagne Bar. For breakfast (daily) and lunch (served Monday through Saturday), seating is available on the Oceanfront Terrace or inside the Champagne Bar. For dinner service, we offer a 2 hour dining experience. We have a 15 minute grace period after which the table may be given to another guest. Please note Lido Restaurant at The Surf Club has a cancellation policy under 24 hours and a no-show policy of $50.00 per person. Our Corkage Fee is $100 per Bottle, $200 for Magnum Bottles (counts as 2 bottles), Max amount per party is 3 bottles

Inoshin is an omakase experience from the team behind New York's Michelin-starred Kosaka, taking up an eight-month residency within the historic Hemingway Tower at Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club. Named for chef Shinichi Inoue, Inoshin is the culmination of a nearly 30-year career dedicated to the art of sushi. Following two decades of training in Tokyo, chef Inoue made his name in New York's restaurant scene, as chef of his eponymous Inoue, Kosaka and two residencies of Kosaka Miami.     I enjoyed my Christmas dinner at Makoto. I was running a little late but when I arrived they were willing to sit me immediately. I had a reservation but wanted to sit at the bar. Antonio is amazing with customer service. When he wasn’t around the other bartender Michelle was checking in on me. Even when I appeared to need help, a Manager (Cindy) stopped and ask me did I need anything make my experience better. Happy Holidays!! I will be back to see them. Food: Crab baked Handroll - 10 out of 10! I had two. Chicken gyozas or potstickers (not sure) 9 out of 10 (I thought they would be fried) Rock Shrimp - 9 out of 10 (a dipping sauce will make them perfect) Chicken Ramen - 7 out of 10 (it’s good but somethings missing in the flavor) I’m just working my way through the menu but I will definitely be back. Again and Again!
